PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X Unreal Engine now supports

Engine manufacturers are slowly preparing their technology for the arrival of nekstgena. Epic Games is no exception: the company has updated Unreal Engine to version 4.25, which supports next-generation consoles.

Epic warns developers that the current version of UE includes only basic support for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The company plans to release edits, optimization improvements, and certification requirements throughout the year.

In addition, the Unreal Engine 4.25 added Niagara visual effects system, Chaos physical system and other modern technologies, the names of which are likely to tell you nothing.

In March 2015, Epic Gamesmade it free, but developers are required to deduct 5% of the proceeds from the sale of games made on UE to the company. If the entertainment goes to the Epic Games Store, then the fee for using the engine is included in the total share of the store (12%).
