Xbox boss thinks PS5 exclusivity is a contradiction to playing together
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has somewhat criticized Sony’s exclusive strategy with the PlayStation 5 in an interview. Accordingly, he finds it questionable if one forces players to buy new hardware in order to experience upcoming titles. Microsoft will drive a new strategy here and offer games on Xbox One, Series X and P.

“Gaming is about entertainment and community […] about new stories and perspectives – and I think it is an absolute contradiction to what gaming should be if you lock people out [through exclusivity] so that they cannot experience these games . Or to force someone to buy a certain device […] “
