The Pixel 4a with the Snapdragon 730 chip and the Pixel 4a XL 5G based on the Snapdragon 765

It was rumored that this year Google will release only one mid-budget smartphone, but it looks like it’s not.

What is known
XDA-Developers have learned the latest firmwarefor Pixel 4 and found three code names for future smartphones of the company: Sunfish, Redfin and Bramble. According to the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) repository, the Sunfish will run on the sm7150 processor (aka Snapdragon 730). The same chip is installed in Redmi K30, Realme X2, and Samsung Galaxy A71. The novelty has two development branches: one based on Android 10, and the other for the next OS version – Android 11. Presumably, this smartphone will be a regular Pixel 4a.

Redfin and Bramble can enter the market like Pixel4a xl. Both smartphones run on the sm7250 platform (aka Snapdragon 765). This SoC has an integrated modem for the fifth generation network (5G). The leak also says that Foxconn, or rather its subsidiary FIH Mobile, is engaged in the production of the Redfin model.

When to expect
When the news comes out there is no official information, but most likely they will be presented at the Google I / O 2020 conference.

Recall that at the end of December, the OnLeaks insider showed what the younger model of the smartphone would look like.
