The new unusual hero Echo in Overwatch can already be tested on PC
Blizzard introduced the new 32nd hero Overwatch named Echo. Now players can evaluate it in action on the PTR in the PC version of the game.
Echo is the last word in technology: it is a multi-purpose adaptable robot designed to perform a variety of tasks on the battlefield. It belongs to the category of “Damage”.
Echo was created by Dr. Mina Liao, a scientist from Singapore and one of the first members of Overwatch. Even before Overwatch, Dr. Liao was considered one of the most prominent specialists in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
The project “Echo” was based on the design of omnics, which she had long dreamed of perfecting. As a result, Dr. Liao managed to develop a multi-purpose adaptive robot that can learn how to perform any task – from medical care to construction. However, Mina seriously limited the ability of her creation to make decisions independently. Overwatch was cautious about using Echo, but Liao endowed the new robot with powerful artificial intelligence that constantly analyzed what was happening. That is why Echo adopted so much from its creator – including the manner of speech.
FEATURES:
Triple shot (main fire mode). Echo fires three shells in a triangular configuration.
Velcro bombs (alternative fire mode). The echo fires a volley of sticky bombs that explode after a short delay.
Flight. The echo makes a jerk forward, after which it can fly in any direction.
Directional beam. Within seconds, the Echo releases a beam that inflicts very high damage to targets that have less than half their health.
Duplication (superpower). The echo copies the selected enemy hero and can use his abilities.
Planning (passive skill). During the fall, Echo can plan.
