The new Microsoft Surface laptop will receive a Ryzen 5 4500U processor
The wccftech publication has revealed that the new Surface notebook can get AMD processor and graphics . It is reported that a laptop is found in the 3DMark database that is equipped with a Ryzen 5 4500U chip and a Radeon RX 5300M graphics card .
The processor has 6 cores without multithreading. The base clock frequency is 2.3 GHz, in turbo mode it reaches 4.0 GHz. The size of the L2 cache is 3 MB, L3 is 8 MB. The processor is made using 7-nanometer technology. Together with the x86-64 cores, it is equipped with a built-in Vega video block with 384 stream processors and a maximum frequency of 1500 MHz. The heat packet is 25 watts.
Finally, there is a discrete Radeon RX 5300M graphics card with 3 GB of GDDR6 memory. In terms of power, it is slightly inferior to the mobile RX 5500M , but surpasses the mobile GTX 1650 .
It is not reported when the new product can enter the market. Given the situation with coronavirus, release may be delayed.
