While the smartphone industry is focused on the Galaxy Note 20 and iPhone 12 series , one of the most curious topics is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, which will be powered by the top-end phones that will be released next year.

Currently , most of the flagships released this year from the Xiaomi Mi 10 to the Galaxy S20 series are powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor. The date has been announced for Snapdragon 875, which will take its place in this context.

The research done by an investment bank revealed the roadmap of Qualcomm and MediaTek processors. According to the calendar shared in Weibo, it will start seeing Snapdragon 875, or 875G, in the market in the first quarter of next year. Although the initial rumors will be produced by TSMC, it is stated that Samsung’s 5 nm fabrication technology will be used in the calendar.

Similarly, the Snapdragon 735G, which will be produced with a 5 nm fabrication process, will be released immediately and will power mid-range phones. There are also important developments on the MediaTek front.

It is expected that Dimensity 600 will be released in the third quarter of this year and Dimensity 400 will follow. The detail that makes this processor interesting is that it will be produced with a 6 nm fabrication process . MediaTek’s processor, which will power its flagships, will arrive in the second quarter of 2021.
