The built-in Intel Xe graphics card surprises with its performance!

Intel, which has launched the 10th generation Comet Lake desktop processors , is preparing to enter a new process. Intel, which started producing 10 nm with 11th generation processors , is getting rid of 14 nm production, which has been criticized a lot in recent years. While waiting for the introduction of Tiger Lake processors in the near future, the performance of the internal Intel Xe graphics card in these processors has been revealed.

The built-in Intel Xe graphics unit uses the same architecture as Intel’s external DG1 card introduced in CES 2020 .

Intel Xe graphics performance revealed
As a result of the performance tests leaked by Rogame and APISAK users on Twitter , the power of the internal Intel Xe graphics unit was also revealed. The transition to 10 nm production with Tiger Lake processors has strengthened Intel’s hand a lot. Tiger Lake processors, which will compete with Ryzen 4000 series U processors on the mobile side , are quite ambitious in terms of graphics power. The core of the competition is Core i7-1185G7 and Ryzen 4800U .

Compared to the NVIDIA MX350 , the 768-core Intel Xe G7 graphics unit managed to score 59845 points from the Geekbench 4 OpenCL test . NVIDIA’s GeForce MX350 graphics card got 59828 points from the same test . While there is not much difference in performance, the MX350 has 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with higher clock speed and higher bandwidth . Although Intel Xe is an internal graphics unit, it can compete with an external NVIDIA graphics card.

Another performance test was carried out with Ryzen 4800U , the biggest rival of Tiger Lake processors . Being able to score 46620 points from the Geekbench 4 OpenCL test, the Vega 8 internal graphics unit lags behind Intel’s Xe graphics unit. Compared to the 640-core Intel Xe and Vega 6 graphics unit, a similar performance difference appears. The 640-core Intel Xe, which managed to score 51751 points from the test , maintains its superiority against the Vega 6 graphics unit with 38787 points .
