Seasonic launches its first Connect 750W power supply

Seasonic announced CONNECT power at Computex 2018, but it has officially announced this innovative design. Seasonic has continued to develop Seasonal CONNECT since Computex 2018, which has led to an innovative design that is essentially a backplane that can accommodate all the connections of any gaming PC.

Seasonic announces CONNECT power supply with backplane to help simplify cable management!

Seasonic CONNECT is essentially two linked products, one is a Seasonal Prime 750 Watt 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply using Seasonic’s S3FC technology. This technology allows the power supply not only to run more efficiently but also to produce less noise.

The second product is actually a backplane, which is mounted to the PC case using magnets to provide connections to all components. During the installation process, only two cables came from the power source to power CONNECT. When the included power supply supports +12 V, -12 V, and +5 Vsb voltage rails, CONNECT switches this power supply to provide +3.3 V and +5 V outputs from the +12 V voltage rail.

This innovative technology allows for a serious aesthetic upgrade of everyone’s system, and the device will also feature a Seasonal LED display. CONNECT comes with a dedicated cable kit that is long enough to cover almost any part of the computer, allowing the backplane to provide an excellent cleaning solution. This power supply has a motherboard 20-24 pin cable; the cable is 200 mm in length, and the other wire is a CPU 4-8 pin with a length of 230 mm, including two CPU cables. For PCIe connections, there are four of these power supplies, two of which are 310 mm long and the other two are 280 mm long.

For SATA connection or storage connector, this power supply has a total of three power cords. One power cord not only has a length of 470 mm but also has four SATA connectors. The other two SATA cables are 230 mm and 210 mm in length, each of which provides two connectors, but the last connector is a right-angle (230 mm cable). The power supply also has Molex cables and Molex to SATA 3.3 adapters.
