World Meteorological Organization has published its new report, according to which the past 2019the year was the hottest in the history of observations.

So, according to experts, the averagethe temperature was 1.1 ° C higher than in the pre-industrial era. It is important to understand that it is the average temperature on the planet from 1850 to 1900 that is the basis for assessing climate change. And in comparison with the indicators of this period, the average annual temperature in 2019 increased by a record 1.1 ° C, thereby breaking the record set in 2016 and 2018.

According to the authors of the study, the averagethe temperature rose both in the five-year indicator (from 2015 to 2019) and in the ten-year indicator (from 2010 to 2019). Judging by the latest data, this is due to an increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
