Respawn stops selling original Titanfall
Respawn Entertainment has decided to cease sales of the original Titan Fall games.
As of today, players will no longer be able to purchase Titan Crash and the game will be removed from subscription services such as the Xbox Game Pass on March 1, 2022. Although Titan Crash can no longer be purchased, players who already have it own the game will still be able to play.
“We will, however, keep the servers active for the dedicated fan base that is still playing,” wrote Respawn. It is not known how long Respawn intends to keep these servers around.
The announcement goes on to say that the Fall of the Titan universe is the “core of Respawn’s DNA”, perhaps to reassure players that the studio will continue to support the series. Earlier this year, both Titan’s Fall games were subject to numerous game-interrupting hacks and DDOS attacks, with players accusing Respawn Entertainment and publisher EA of ignoring Titan’s Fall issues in favor of the more popular and more profitable Apex Legends .
