Rebel Galaxy Outlaw Review
Did you like Rebel Galaxy but wondered what would it be like to use all THREE dimensions in space? Were you a fan of classic games like Freelancer and Wing Commander, but thought they needed a bit more southern hospitality? Well, then you’re gonna want to check out Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.
Jumpdrive your way into this full 3D space adventure. That is set as a prequel to the original Rebel Galaxy game. Except this time instead of going full broadside in giant capital ships. You’ll be zipping around in much smaller and more agile fighters. Start out the game having just lost your ship and be forced to make your way through the universe using only the finest piece of shit that a friend could loan you.
Grind your way through as many missions as you’re willing to take on doing familiar space tasks like, fighting pirates, defending freighters, hauling other people’s junk, scanning things, following waypoints, and blowing up anything and everything that looks somewhat important. Collect the rewards and credits to move from your terrible clunky ship to a much larger clunky ship, except now you can cover it stronger armor, shields, and load it up with the best guns money can buy.
Then get into the real meat of the game, Space Ship Photoshop! Paint your ship all the colors of the space rainbow and cover it with cool stickers. You can even import your own! Try not to be too perverted though, Space Pope is watching! Navigate your way across a map with star systems named after western. States and cities in America to really drive home the feeling that this space western reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop. Interact with a wide variety of humans and alien creatures throughout a twisting story, each of whom will always have plenty of work for you to do for them.
Become friends so you can call them into battle. When you’re getting your ass kicked. Because everyone is super good at kicking your ass.
Take on all of this while listening to a robust meaty sauce of music across multiple radio stations. Spanning genres similar to Grand Theft Auto, only better, because it’s in Space. You can even spend your time doing important things like playing 8-ball pool. Arcade video games, and what is obviously just gambling with Yahtzee! Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, tapping on all of your space game nostalgia brain cells. Just hard enough to convince you to finally download the Epic Games Store.
I was going to give away a copy of this game to a subscriber. But I can’t seem to figure out any way to do it. If I discover some way to make this possible in the near future, it will happen! In the meantime like and share this video so that.
When people get to this point excited and then disappointed.
