On January 14, Microsoft officially discontinued support for Windows 7. Many perceived this news with chagrin. NowFree Software Foundation (FreeSoftware Foundation) decided to support frustrated users and suggested that Microsoft open the operating system sources and pass them on to the community for study and improvement.

The fund published a petition with a proposal andplans to collect 7,777 signatures. In fact, programmers intend to support Windows 7 independently of Microsoft and are confident that thanks to this, the company will be able to get user loyalty.
