The network has data on the latest Sony patent, in within the framework of which the company wants to secure the right to a controller that can provide the user with access to the DualShock 5 and PlayStation 5 functions thanks to the microphone integrated with the gamepad.
It is likely that the new patent is directly related to an earlier document – in September, Sony also filed a patent application that describes a proprietary voice assistant device called the PlayStation Assistant.
Interestingly, the newly declassified document also describes an interesting recoil system that, through vibration, will inform players of the processing status of their voice input. Recall that a little earlier on the network there was information that the new DualShock 5 will also be compatible with the PlayStation 4.
