Pardus 19.3 version has been released! Here are the innovations
Pardus 19.3 version of the national operating system, which is still being developed by TÜBİTAK , has been released. According to the release calendar, the version that meets the users on the day includes the innovations brought to the main version 19.
Pardus, which is used by many state institutions and citizens today, was first started to be developed in 2003. In the past days, the name of a state institution was mentioned with the national operating system.
What’s new in Pardus 19.3 version
Pardus, which is named as the national operating system, has gained some innovations with the intermediate version announced as of today. Announcement has been published for updates and changes. The announcement also includes how people using older version of Pardus can easily upgrade. According to the announced information, the following changes were applied;
Pardus Disk Pattern Printer application will be installed in Xfce and Gnome desktop environments.
A package that enables editing of Libre Office common sharing documents has been added.
As an alternative to Pardus Package Installer software in Xfce desktop environment, Gdebi has been defined instead of Deepin Package Box.
Evoluation and screenshot application are added to the Gnome desktop environment.
Improvements were made in the Pardus Store application.
Over 100 packages and patches in the installed system have been updated.
Over 2000 packages in the warehouse have been updated.
The default Firefox browser has been upgraded to 68.10.
The default email application has been upgraded to Thunderbird 68.9.
The default VLC version 3.0.11 has been updated.
The core version has been upgraded to 4.19.0-9.
