Nvidia Ampere: First picture of the Geforce Asus RTX 3080 Ti ROG sighted?
A picture of an alleged RTX 3080 Ti, which comes from the board partner Asus, is currently circulating on the Internet. It is said to be the ROG Strix version, which is usually a strongly overclocked variant of the basic GPU. The images could come from an internal presentation by the manufacturer.
The rumor mill around the next generation RTX graphics cards from Nvidia is slowly picking up speed. The upcoming gaming GPU generation, codenamed Ampere, will be presented and published in detail over the coming months. A release period in September 2020 is currently expected. If this date turns out to be true, it would only be logical that by then more and more rumors will see the light of day. As happened again now: the flagship is shown in the first pictures. Allegedly.
Nvidia Ampere: Asus RTX 3080 Ti ROG Strix in pictures
A few weeks after there were already supposed pictures of a possible RTX 3080, which was then still available in the FE version, there are now alleged pictures of an RTX 3080 Ti in a custom design. Supposedly because this information is of course not officially confirmed. It would be conceivable that the picture comes from an internal presentation by the custom board manufacturer Asus. An AiB model in the form of an Asus RTX 3080 Ti ROG Strix could be shown for the first time. This model is usually one of the most expensive, but also fastest versions of the company.
A total of three fans were also used for the Asus RTX 2080 Ti ROG Strix, but the design would have changed fundamentally. So the new card would now come in a chic metallic silver and black. In addition, the card seems to have LED elements at the top. By the way, the title of the presentation slide means: “Next-Generation ROG Strix”. It is also interesting that Asus – insofar as the image is real – titled the card with RTX 3080 Ti, especially since in the past the information that Nvidia’s high-end model should be called RTX 3090 was more often revealed.
