Unexpectedly: Honor Play does not receive EMUI 10
shell on Android 10 operating system
Huawei has already fully tested and updated its smartphones with the exclusive Shell EMUI 10.
Information that one of last year’s flagship products does not receive.
It’s about the Honor Play smartphone, introduced in 2018. According to India’s Honor division, the new product will not be updated to the current shell and won’t receive the latest version of Android 10. The company describes this as a hardware limitation, or “weak hardware.” This is very strange because the smartphone has exactly the same characteristics as the Huawei P20 and Huawei Mate 10.
Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that due to hardware limitations, EMUI 10.0 / Android Q is not available on the device because higher hardware specifications are required for optimal performance. Thank you for your patience. -Honor India (@HiHonorIndia) October 18, 2019
Honor Play comes with a 6-inch Full HD + display with a notch and 8-core Kirin 970 processors paired with 4GB RAM and a GPU Turbo graphics accelerator. Honor Play also features dual 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras and an energy-consuming 3750 mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB Type-C ports.
