Google programming language learning App Grasshopper launches a web version

Grasping the heart of the developer, starting from the moment of learning a program, is the layout adopted by many technology companies. And Google is no exception. Google announced that the Grasshopper service, which was originally in the form of a mobile app, moved to a web browser.

Google launched Grasshopper in 2018, which belongs to the Code with Google program. It is an introductory textbook for people who are new to the program. It gives the basic concepts of people who don’t touch the procedural design. From HTML, CSS, Javascript used in web pages, to animation. The D3.js framework for the data.

Originally, Grasshopper only had an app version but launched a web version to expand the number of users and improve convenience.

After Grasshopper also has a web page, there is enough space to display the code editor and prompt function on the iOS device or Android device, the learner experience is better, and the larger picture looks more comfortable. However, the concept version of the app version is currently missing from the web version.

Compared to the learning program websites supported by other technology companies, such as Code.org or the more advanced Codecademy, Grasshopper is only the basic concept. The supported languages are only in English. The GrasshƠpper team also acknowledges that they are still in the initial stage. There are still very few textbooks designed.
