Milan instead of Ryzen 4000: Epyc processor with Zen 3 architecture spotted in Linux Log
Gamers are more likely to look forward to the release of the Ryzen 4000 series, but a recent engineering sample spotted in Linux is still worth mentioning. Milan, as the successor to Rome, will serve the server market – but, like the upcoming Ryzen generation, will rely on Zen 3.
There was a recent rumor that Ryzen 4000 aka Vermeer is already in B0 stepping . The CPUs are practically ready for the market, which would put AMD launch technically in a very comfortable situation. Now the underlying Zen 3 architecture has actually been sighted. However, in a different form than you might expect as a gamer. It’s about Milan, the successor to Rome, specifically about the next generation of Epyc processors zen 3 architecture.
