Fraudsters Attacked WhatsApp Users With Adidas
ESET cybersecurity experts have discovered a new phishing attack on WhatsApp users.Attackers spread messages

through the messenger that Adidas is celebrating an anniversary and allegedly giving T-shirts and shoes.
According to a company press release, the messagecontained the following text: “Adidas gives 5300 pairs of shoes and 2700 T-shirts in honor of the anniversary!” It also had a link that you had to click on to “receive a gift”. The user ended up not accessing the Adidas website. In addition, fraudsters were given the use of the old Adidas logo.

After following the link, the victim was offered to take a survey, and then send a message about the competition to another 20 friends. In this way, the phishing mailing spread.

ESET experts advise caution with any messages about discounts, sales and promotions, since with their help attackers can gain access to personal data.
