Facebook Corona virus advertising policy is changing
According to the statement, advertisements of content that may cause effects such as misinformation, possession of preventive or therapeutic unfounded information and creating panic atmosphere will not be published.
According to the statements made by the Facebook spokesperson, policies restricting this type of advertisement have been put into effect a while ago. It seems that there are measures not only about informing but also about selling virus -related products. In fact, this also indirectly covers Instagram ads. As it is known, Instagram ads under Facebook are also available on Facebook.
Given that similar advertising policies are applied for both platforms, it would not be wrong to say that these new steps will have an effect on Instagram.
The social media giant, who has previously made a statement about COVID-19 , seems to be working to minimize the effects of this epidemic on the social media side. As with all other platforms, Facebook, which tries to take measures against misleading content about Corona virus , has the knowledge that it uses various controllers in this regard.
As a reminder, Google has previously stated that users who share misleading videos about the virus on YouTube will not activate their ads in the related video.
