Dying Light 2 postponed to finalize the plot, open world and ray tracing leaked news
In January, Techland after Cyberpunk 2077 postponed Dying Light 2 , only noting that it does not have enough time to realize all its ambitions.
Now, lead producer Eugene Harton in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine delved into the reasons for the transfer, the main of which were three – the desire to finalize the plot, the consequences of player choice and an open world.
The developers set ambitious goals and do not want to release a semi-finished product, which by its implementation only hints at the initial ideas of the team.
In addition, the authors will spend additional time on a better implementation of ray tracing, so that, for example, night segments become even more intimidating. Now the team is experimenting with reflections from artificial light sources like a player’s flashlight.
Dying Light 2 is created for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC, but does not even have an approximate release date.
