Covid 19 Update Antibodies that block coronavirus have been discovered in China
Back in early January 2020, several groups of Chinese researchers analyzed antibodies from the blood patient who recovered from COVID-19. Then scientists identified 206 monoclonal antibodies, which showed the ability to fight the virus. Now scientists are focusing on identifying the most powerful antibodies and, possibly, combine them to reduce the risk of mutation of a new coronavirus.
Zhang Linqi of Tsinghua University in Beijing noted that a drug made using antibodies found by his team can be used more efficiently than current approaches to blocking the virus.

According to Zhang, among the first 20 tested antibodies, 4 were able to block the penetration of the virus, and 2 of them made it faster and more efficient than others. Researchers have published the results on the Internet and hope that antibodies will be tested in humans within 6 months.
Earlier, the country’s authorities began to publish detailed virus statistics: a day in China, 130 cases of coronavirus infection, which proceeds without symptoms, were detected, but the test showed a positive result. A total of 1,357 patients without the symptoms of COVID-19 with positive coronavirus test results are known in China.
