Classic SiN shooter gets a big patch and getting ready for re-release
Nightdive dug up another bearded classic – the SiN shooter , the one with the busty main villain. The company has already released a patch for the existing version of the game, and is also engaged in a larger re-release.
Now SiN in modern digital distribution stores is called SiN: Gold . The Wages of SiN extension was added to the Steam version – previously it was available only on GOG.com.
Other patch edits include:
Added support for the modern Steam master server,
game editor added and restored,
Added support for additional 16: 9 resolutions,
various game assets have been restored and uncensored
optimized and restored part of the game code,
fixed a number of errors.
As for the re-release, it will work on the KEX Engine – proprietary Nightdive technology . The remaster is going to make the usual improvements like modern screen resolutions and a clear interface. The upgraded version of SiN should start at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
In honor of the update, SiN is being sold at a 20% discount on Steam and GOG.com . The offer is valid until March 25. For the sake of the announcement, Nightdive even found several SiN advertising renders from the 90s!
In recent months, Nightdive has rocked hard: together with Bethesda, it launches the Doom 64 porton modern platforms, as well as remastered by Shadow Man , Blade Runner and System Shock 2 . And this is not counting the remake of the first System Shock , on which the studio also works tirelessly .
