The leak turned out to be true: this week Blizzard will begin the first closed testing of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands . WoW veterans and friends of the company will receive invitations in the coming days.
Over the course of several months, developers will gradually expand the total number of players, and by the beginning of testing PvP and raids, invites will become more targeted – people with great experience in these modes will be a priority.
By the beginning of alpha, the developers prepared the Bastion zone, the Necrotic Awakening dungeon, and a redesigned path for new characters from the Alliance. By the end of April, the developers plan to launch the Revendret zone and the endless Torghast dungeon.
Blizzard, when all extension content is released in alpha, will prepare for beta, zeroing out all the characters and launching a new wave of invitations.
