Artifact 2.0 Game Leak Features Valve shared some details
Valve talked about some gameplay changes that await players in the updated version of the collectible card game Artifact .
According to the developers, the biggest change – postponing the review, players will have access to all three lines at once. This innovation is designed to significantly reduce the likelihood that the player will be left without options for the draw. However, most effects are still applied on separate lines.
The authors also focused on making the game easier for beginners. For example, they will no longer meet the enemy with a deck too strong at the beginning of the game, as Valve refused to sell cards. In addition, a heroic draft mode was added to Artifact 2.0, in which you can try to build a deck “without undue stress”.
Finally, the developers shared their current action plan:
Testing everything boring (we are here).
Distribution of invitations, starting with the owners of the initial version of the game (and increasing volumes, as it was with Dota 2 ).
Work on beta and a gradual transition to open beta.
Exit beta (we hope it will happen faster than Dota 2).
The authors note that beta will be a new application, and individual accounts will get access to it. In addition
, according to the developers, some cards will be changed, deleted or completely redesigned, so the old decks and statistics of the original version of Artifact will be irrelevant.
