Alexa Answers Users can now feed Alexa with knowledge

Amazon’s voice assistant can not only control your smart home, but also shines through her considerable general knowledge. But even Alexa doesn’t have an answer to every question. This is where Alexa Answers comes in.

The function itself is not new, but has been available in German since mid-January 2020. So far, however, only a select group of users of Alexa Answers has been able to use it, who has been invited by email. The aim of the feature is to make Alexa smarter. This is how Alexa Answers works
Interestingly, Alexa herself searches for answers. If she doesn’t know something, she turns to the Amazon community. Anyone who has an account with the mail order giant, can thus on the Alexa Answers website login. There you will find a number of questions “Alexa is desperate for”. These open questions are currently to be found there:

“What is Kodi 19?”
“How long have there been people on earth?”

“What is Karabakh?”
The questions displayed should correspond to your interests. Amazon is looking for topics that you are probably familiar with. You can also indicate yourself where your strengths or interests lie. The following areas are available:

  • to eat and drink
  • geography
  • history
  • Cinema and TV
  • literature
  • music
  • miscellaneous
  • Sports
  • Wildlife
  • Video games
  • Weather
  • science

Your answers can be up to 300 words long. Of course, Alexa doesn’t take them over immediately. Each of them goes Alexa Answers Users can now feed Alexa with knowledge

through a check – including by other users. If your contribution receives the green light, Alexa will take your knowledge into account in the future. She then points out that her response is based on information from the community. In order for a question to even be discussed in Alexa Answers, the language assistant has to hear it often in everyday life.
