Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sanitary supplies, including toilet paper, are being swept away from store shelves. Hysteria in the real world was reflected in Fallout 76 : there the coveted rolls turned into a luxury item.
Players search for toilet paper in Fallout 76 and start doing all kinds of comic nonsense with it: someone puts it on the shelves like a jewel, someone guards their supplies with a rifle at the ready, and many others start selling paper for insane amounts.
As the characteristics of the “toilet” in Fallout 76, its cost is only one lid – the developers put such conditions. However, in vending machines, where gamers can set their own price tags, they ask for 450, 5,000 or even 25,000 caps for paper – it seems that the game simply doesn’t allow to put even more.
What is most interesting, there are moneybags, who really buy a garbage thing for absurd money. On Reddit they write that some players buy paper for 450 caps, for 20,000 and 25,000. One user says that he set the maximum price for toilet paper just as a joke and did not expect anyone to really buy it. He found his client and offered to return the money, but he refused:“There is a very high demand for toilet paper, I’m not going to part with it!”
